PR talking points about the campaign:
“Music education has proven to be an effective and invaluable tool for academic achievement and social development. Now, more than ever, we need to invest in our young people to be the creative, collaborative, forward-thinking future our country needs. By sharing how music has changed/impacted my life, I’m hoping others will join the It Starts with M.E. movement and support music education.”
“I know first-hand the tremendous impact a quality music education can have on a student’s academic achievement and social development, yet we still hear that music programs are underfunded and educators do not have the resources they need to create a thriving program, by joining the It Starts with M.E. campaign, my hope is that we can continue to raise awareness and funds to support music programs across the country. I want every child to have access to the same kind of quality music program I was so fortunate to have growing up.”
Providing opportunities for students to thrive through music is not just something I’m passionate about, but something I find crucial to helping shape our next generation. I’m joining the It Starts with M.E. campaign because I would not be where I am today without the resources and support my music teacher provided me at a time when I lacked confidence and direction. The” It Starts with M.E.” campaign is our way to give back and help raise awareness for the importance of music education.”
“I can’t imagine a world in which (my) children aren’t offered music in school. Music education doesn’t just impact students, but it helps to reinvigorate communities through the power of music. I’m excited to join the It Starts with M.E. campaign to help raise awareness around the importance of music in school and the impact it has on our children
