“The first time I held a guitar I was probably 4. The power of music even as a 4-year-old was pretty astronomical. I couldn’t wait to get in the car to go to school so that I could listen to whatever was playing on the radio…it made me feel alive.”
– Thomas Rhett
Every child has a right to a quality music education.
Music should surround us, envelope us, and provide a soundtrack for our everyday lives.
Sadly, in some parts of the country, music is being silenced in communities and within the walls of schools. Whether it be lack of funding, resources or support, more and more students are being denied access to a quality music education.
And that’s a problem.
